Association of Christian Schools International
For more than 40 years, the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) has faithfully lived out its mission around the world: “to strengthen Christian schools and equip Christian educators worldwide as they prepare students academically and inspire them to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ.”
Today and into the future ACSI is committed to assisting, encouraging and developing:
- Schools that contribute to the public good through effective teaching and learning and that are biblically sound, academically rigorous, socially engaged, and culturally relevant; and
- Educators who embody a biblical worldview, engage in transformational teaching and disciplining, and embrace personal and professional growth.
ACSI President Dr. Larry Taylor
“I can think of no greater cause than to partner with Christian schools all over the world as we advance Kingdom education. We fully believe that authentic devotion to the Christian faith and academic excellence are mutually reinforcing. There are not two or three forms of excellence, but rather an ethos that is cultivated throughout every facet of our schools. Faith is not separated from learning but rather integrated intentionally, resulting in a distinctive Christian worldview.
Scholarship and learning become an integral component to the maturation process known as discipleship. Thus, becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, the ultimate objective of the Great Commission (Matt. 26:28-30), is the prize for which we strive; it is the highest form of excellence! It is certainly conceivable that we could produce students with the spiritual depth needed to enter our pluralistic society and not fall prey to empty philosophies. Rather, they would be equipped to saturate the marketplace to which God has called them with confidence, purpose, and an eternal perspective.
State of Tennessee Department of Education
As an approved Christian school in the State of Tennessee, Generations Christian Academy embraces the "Best for All" plan for GCA students:
“We want to ensure that every student is on a path to success. When they graduate, every student should know that they are able to accomplish whatever dreams they set for themselves. This strategic plan prioritizes the three key areas of providing quality academic programs, serving the whole child, and developing and supporting our teachers and leaders. The work we do for our children matters. They need us and deserve our best.”
